A cornerstone of Teochew heritage, our Soon Kueh is a traditional savoury dumpling known for its translucent, chewy skin and aromatic filling. Each piece is meticulously hand-wrapped in a delicate dough made from rice and tapioca flour, which becomes beautifully soft and elastic once steamed.
The heart of the Soon Kueh is a fragrant medley of shredded jicama (bang kuang), bamboo shoots, and carrots, sautéed with premium dried shrimp and garlic to create a deeply savoury, umami-rich profile. The natural sweetness of the vegetables provides a perfect contrast to the earthy, peppery notes of the seasoning, making every bite a comforting experience.
